Lodging for Guests:

Here is a list of reasonably priced B&Bs, inns and hotels you might consider.

West Village (A incredibly charming neighborhood. It's very central. I'd recommend staying in this neighborhood, if you can.)

Larchmont Hotel

Abingdon Guest House

West Eleventh

Rooms to Let

Jones Street Guest House (note: five-night minimum if you're booking more than 3 weeks ahead)

The Standard (super swanky new hotel with amazing views--and surprisingly good rates)

Downtown:

Club Quarters (on the same street as our wedding venue; they have special rates for our guests, just tell them you're attending our wedding at the Down Town Association)

Gild Hall (two blocks from our wedding venue; they have special rates for our guests, as well--about $159 for a regular room)

Midtown:

The Ace Hotel (new hotel, very quirky, well-designed and friendly)

Chelsea (just north of the West Village):

A Garden in Chelsea

Colonial House Inn

Inn on 23rd

Soho/Tribeca (just south of the West Village):

Nicolena's B&B

Soho B&B

Soho Loft

Upper East Side (on the upper east side of Manhattan, near Central Park and the Metropolitan Museum of Art):

1871 House

Ivy Terrace

Stay the Night

The Pod Hotel

Upper West Side (on the upper west side of Manhattan, near Central Park and the Natural History Museum):

Country Inn the City

Wyman House

Apartment rental

You could also consider an apartment rental, through Homeaway. We and our friends have rented apartments in New York and other cities and have always had great experiences.
